Privacy Policy — Cinder

This Privacy Policy explains how the Cinder mobile application ("Cinder", "the App"), developed by BridgeOn Lab, handles information. Cinder is a focus timer app and does not require account creation or login.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Cinder does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or location. The App does not require sign-up or login of any kind.

2. Locally Stored Data

Cinder stores the following information only on your device (using local storage), and this data is never sent to any server operated by BridgeOn Lab:

• Your focus session history (number of completed sessions, streaks, and daily focus minutes), used to display your in-app statistics.
• Your selected focus sound and session length preferences.
• Temporary unlock status for optional features (e.g., detailed statistics), used to determine daily availability after watching a rewarded ad.

This data stays on your device and is deleted if you uninstall the App or clear its storage.

3. Advertising

Cinder displays advertisements through Google AdMob, a third-party advertising service. AdMob may collect an advertising identifier and other technical information (such as device type and general location inferred from IP address) to serve and measure ads, in accordance with Google's own privacy practices. We do not have access to, and Cinder does not separately collect, any personal data through this process.

4. Permissions Used

• Notifications — to alert you when a focus or break session ends.
• Exact alarms — to ensure session-end notifications fire accurately even in battery-saving/Doze mode.
• Vibration — for session-end haptic feedback.
• Internet / network state — required by the AdMob SDK to load ads.

Cinder does not access your camera, microphone, contacts, or files.

5. Children's Privacy

Cinder is not directed at children and is not designed to collect information from children under the age of 13 (or the relevant age of digital consent in your jurisdiction).

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
